Spaciously

Changelog

Spaciously updates itself through Spaciously › Check for Updates…, or once a day if you leave that on.

1.1.0

  • Delete Immediately. In the Cleanup List review you can now skip the Trash and delete for good. Items vanish at once and the space comes back in seconds, much faster than emptying the Trash. Spaciously asks a second time first, and the same safety checks apply: system folders, running apps and your libraries stay off-limits.
  • Storage at a glance. A bar across the top of every page shows used and available space by category, like System Settings. It also shows what Spaciously has cleared that’s still in the Trash, with a fast Delete Now, and how much it has freed in total.
  • Checkboxes in the list. Tick anything to add it to the Cleanup List; untick to take it back. One click on a folder opens it.
  • A short tour the first time you open Spaciously. Replay it any time from Help › Spaciously Tour.
  • A proper installer window. The download opens with a clear “drag into Applications” layout.
  • Fixes. Small items in the list no longer show Zero KB. Folders that couldn’t be read before you turned on Full Disk Access are measured on the next launch. Full Disk Access is detected correctly on recent macOS.

1.0.0

The first release.

  • Explorer. A ring of everything on your disk, sized by what it really takes up, with an arc in the middle showing how full the disk is.
  • Cleanup List. Add anything you want gone, review it in one place, then send it to the Trash.
  • Suggestions. Finds caches, build leftovers, old installers and duplicates, and says whether each one comes back on its own.
  • Space Watch. A menu bar ring that fills with your disk, a daily record of what grew, and a quiet alert before the disk fills.
  • Scan as Administrator. Measures folders only macOS can read, through a helper that can’t change or delete anything.
