Spaciously

Spaciously collects nothing

The app has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporter and no accounts. Scans and history stay on your Mac, in your user Library.

What the app connects to

Once a day, Spaciously downloads spaciously.app/updates.xml, a short list of versions, to see whether an update exists. The request carries the app's version in its user agent and nothing about your Mac or your files. You can turn the daily check off in Settings › Updates.

That is the only connection the app makes.

This website

This site loads nothing from any other company: no analytics, no tracking pixels, no web fonts from elsewhere. Vercel hosts it and keeps its standard request logs. Vercel Analytics is off.

The admin helper

If you choose Scan as Administrator, Spaciously installs a small helper that measures folder sizes as the system. It only answers the Spaciously app signed by us, it has no way to change or delete a file, and it doesn't connect to anything.
